The month of Ramadan has started two days ago, where it is the holy month in Islam. All Muslims are obliged to fast and they do many good things. All Muslims are excited to celebrate this glorious month of Ramadan, including me. So, I would like to share my experience of fasting at KMJ. The experience of celebrating the fasting month here, for me, may not be much different from celebrating it in a hostel. Although I am used to celebrating Ramadan away with my family because of sitting in a hostel, when the month of Ramadan arrives, a sad feeling suddenly comes. But it didn’t matter because I was still able to celebrate it with my friends from various backgrounds and states😃. On the night of Ramadan, I went to the mosque with Tina for terawih prayers. I want to tell you about my experience for sahur here. The sahur experience here is very different. Usually, when you wake up at home on your own, your mom is ready to cook, so does the hostel, the food is prepared. But this time, you have to go down to the cafe to buy food. In the evening, many bazaar and stalls are open. There are a lot of food and beverage options for you to buy. The food sold is also affordable and tasty. Besides, the name of food that they sell are quite interesting. In conclusion, there are many experiences we can go through when we are in different places. Although the experience may have some joy and grief, it can still be used as a memory and lessons in living life. Thank you.
